Frequently asked questions
Who decides which procedure suits me?
The doctor, after examination and tests. You send your photos and a short description of your case, and the doctor sets out which procedures suit you and which do not — sometimes that the procedure you had in mind is not the right one for you. The final decision rests on the clinical examination and test results, not on photographs.
Is a tummy tuck a weight-loss operation?
No. A tummy tuck tightens the abdominal wall and removes excess skin, and is aimed at people whose weight is close to ideal. Weight loss has its own procedures.
Who is not a candidate?
Broadly, people with poorly controlled chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure or immunodeficiency, those who have not finished growing, and anyone whose condition does not allow anaesthesia. The doctor decides after the tests.
How do I prepare before surgery?
Usually by avoiding smoking, blood thinners and stimulants for a period the doctor sets, eating a balanced diet, and having blood tests and check-ups to confirm your case is suitable. The full list comes to you from the centre.
How long do I stay in Istanbul?
It depends on the procedure: smaller operations can be completed with a short stay, while wider surgery needs a longer stay and a check-up before flying — after a tummy tuck, for instance, one or two days in hospital. The duration is stated in the plan before you book your ticket.
Do you guarantee how the result will look?
No. Results differ from person to person and depend on your case, your body structure and how closely you follow aftercare instructions; every operation carries possible side effects, which the doctor explains to you. Our role is purely organisational.
